Description
A box set containÃng all 36 photos from Carl Abrahamsson’s exhibition FanzinEra (2011), coinciding with the original release of the book FanzinEra – Photographs 1985-1988. At the time of the exhibition, ten copies of each image were signed and numbered by Abrahamsson, and made available for sale. The first three were assembled in boxes. This is box number 3.
“In the box are my photos of Joe Coleman, Union Carbide Productions, The Gun Club, Lux Interior, Martin Rössel, Kim Salmon, Sator, The Leather Nun, The Shamen, The Cramps, Lars Cleveman, Lydia Lunch, Alex Chilton, Ebbot Lundberg, Steve Kilbey, Jonas Almquist, Jeffrey Lee Pierce, The Stomachmouths, Iggy Pop, Richard Kern, Lee Ranaldo, Genesis P-Orridge, Screaming’ Jay Hawkins, Bernard Sumner, Blue For Two, Freddie Wadling, Sonic Youth, John Lydon, Chris Bailey, Sort Sol, Legendary Stardust Cowboy, Died Pretty, The Godfathers, Thurston Moore, Henry Rollins, and Hüsker Dü. They were taken for my fanzines Lollipop (1985-1987) and Acts of Interstellar Torture (1988).”
Each photo is 24 x 30 cm, C-print, signed and numbered, collected in a sturdy cardboard box dressed in blue cloth and gold stamping of the title.
Included in the sale is a signed copy of the expanded book FanzinEra (2021)
